The essential movies about the Crusades

The essential movies about the Crusades

The terrific film released in May 2005 to movie theatres nationwide was only a part of the great vision director Ridley Scott had for this incredible story. The director’s cut, released on DVD in 2007, presents Scott’s epic the way it was meant to be seen. Orlando Bloom stars as Balian de Ibelin, as he travels to Jerusalem during the Crusades to find himself the ultimate defender of his city and people. While some director’s cut only change a few brief moments in the film, this immensely different cut is a completely different film. It is “radically altered from the financially unsuccessful version that unspooled in theatres in the summer of 2005,” and is in every way a better movie.

The Kali Yuga according to the Vishnu Purana

The Kali Yuga according to the Vishnu Purana

“Observance of caste, order and institutes [traditional] will not prevail in the Kali age. Marriages in this age will not be comfortable to the ritual, nor will the rules that connect the spiritual preceptor and his disciple be in force, … A regenerated man will be initiated in any way whatever [democracy applied to the spiritual plane] and such acts of penance as may be performed will be unattended by any results [this refers to a “humanistic” and conformist religion] . . . all orders of life will be common alike to all persons. . . .”

The Heroism of General Suharto of Indonesia:

The Heroism of General Suharto of Indonesia:

In October of 2017, the world’s media were abuzz over the “declassified documents that prove the US aided former dictator of Indonesia in slaughtering 500,000 suspected Communists in 1965.” The text of each article, from the Washington Post to the Hindu Times, was identical – for no reason, the Army slaughtered helpless men, women and children because they sought absolute power. They invented a “Communist plot” to justify it. Because of almost total ignorance about the country, the left was free to engage in a totally unfiltered ideological projection to be written as “history.”
Academics and journalists such as John Roosa and Brad Simpson spread the story that the three million cadres of the Indonesian Communist Party (PKI) were not interested in gaining power by force. No one is sure what the three million members were for.
With the economy collapsing, Gen. Suharto brought unity to the Army and smashed this attempt to bring this nation into Mao’s grip. The Army estimates about 78,000 were killed in what amounted to a low level civil war between the far left and the armed forces. He then took a country suffering from economic stagnation and inflation of 1000% and turned it into a modern economy in 20 years.

Free Trade’s Body Count

Free Trade’s Body Count

The drug violence in the border between the US and Mexico continues to claim lives. Thousands yearly are murdered in turf wars among the numerous gangs competing for the lucrative US market. One of the main problems has been the NAFTA “free trade” agreement that has made it easier for drug smugglers to bring their product to American cities. Without substantial economic reform and the rejection of the WTO, the drug situation will continue to spiral out of control.

American Racialism VS European Nationalism

American Racialism VS European Nationalism

I
f the nation does not defend and represent the interests of the root people, it ceases to be a nation. The root people cannot identify with the alien construct that was once their nation. They thus turn to another group to identify with (race instead of nation). This is what happened in America and will also happen in Europe in about twenty years if current trends continue. The demographic replacement has a silver lining.

The Hoplite Warband

The Hoplite Warband

“In practice, we always base our preparations against an enemy on the assumption that his plans are good; indeed, it is right to rest our hopes not on a belief in his blunders, but on the soundness of our provisions. Nor ought we to believe that there is much difference between man and man, but to think that the superiority lies with him who is reared in the severest school.”

Punish the Flesh

Punish the Flesh

The flesh must be constantly disciplined, groomed and restrained, for the purpose of keeping pudginess and distractions at bay. Militant Strength Culture is part of this and is an important addition, especially for the Postmodern specimen, which seldom puts physical effort into their daily life.
