The struggle we now face is not that of a singular country or community. The European, wherever he dwells is engaged in a cataclysmic struggle for his own soul. Whether in squatter camps of the disposed Boers of South Africa, or in the rubble of his family store in Minneapolis, we are the embattled few – the thin white line. At the middle of last century, Europeans constituted 25% of the global population, they are now fewer than 10% globally and the figure is falling rapidly. We, we unhappy few now face a stark choice about who we are, about the content of our soul. In human life, the Grim Reaper is ever present, the prospects of loss and failure are something we must overcome within our own psyche. The Reaper has mouthed boo to our elite, and faced with this they have abandoned us, content to fill the void at their spiritual centre with profit, falsehoods, and flattery to those who would destroy us. Many have joined them. They live life as a purely singular atom, consuming in their darkened rooms – denouncing their race and nation, negating their gender, denying who they are and what they could become. The unending stream of history and world events has tested their mettle, and they have been found wanting.
All told, the US is a picture of failure in Afghanistan and the Middle East. The Taliban have proven that they are a popular and legitimate government of Afghanistan. Their strict Islam is needed to rebuild a war-torn country where morality has collapsed. War destroys basic ethical thinking. The US cares only to protect Israel and maintain the flow of natural resources under American control. Importantly, its also to keep them out of any entity with connections to Russia, the ultimate anti-liberal, archetypal power.
In brief, the state cannot tell anyone who they can or can’t do business with except under very specific circumstances laid out in depth. The President can’t merely forbid entire countries, including his own, from trading anywhere since this is all private property. Sanctions must set out a reason, the nature of the trade itself described in detail and the affected objects connected with the stated purpose of the sanctions. Each object affected by the law has to be closely connected with the purpose of the sanctions. Since corporate America is legally more powerful than the Justice or Treasury Departments, companies usually can evade these without fear, though compliance costs might be absorbed as insurance.
Arrow Air flight 1285 crashed shortly after takeoff on December 12 1985. It was a charter plane full of US military personnel returning from a peacekeeping mission separating Egypt and Israel, that is, enforcing the Camp David Accords of 1978-1979. The crash killed all 248 soldiers (or 256) in Canada near Gander in Newfoundland. It left Cairo, Egypt, went to Cologne in Germany, then to Gander International Airport and it was supposed to land at Fort Campbell, KY. It was most likely the result of a Mossad hit squad.
The Orthodox faith has not yet faced the full front of the crisis that is Postmodernity. This is because the Oikoumene—insulated from the subversive ideologies and trends that made inroads into the West after the end of the Second World War—was under the totalitarian boot of Communism which, in a very roundabout way, managed to shield most of the Orthodox world from what would eventually become an even greater threat.
The fact of the matter is that young men are the greatest resource a nation or a people can possess. Men, by nature’s design and by the work of providence, are the expendable sex. They are the muscle that keeps a community or society safe in times of war, protected in times of peace, feed in times of scarcity— often at the cost of their own lives. They are, as history has borne out, the brain by which almost all scientific discoveries and technological breakthroughs have been achieved; account for all the great explorers of human history as well as nearly all its great philosophical minds, religious leaders and spiritual guides.
A soft, passive, and compliant race of men will eventually be that people’s last generation. Women, despite what they may say otherwise, hate a man who is subservient to her needs and will not respect him. A woman will always be drawn to a man who is strong, who is forceful, who respects himself and, above all else, is self-sufficient. After all, a man who can rely on himself needs no one else, depends on no one else for anything, adheres to his own rule, charts his own course by his own polar star. If a woman can not find such a man among her own people, she will inevitably find one amongst another.
While modernity has become an all-encompassing iron cage, it has given us the tools to visit the last remaining patches of nature with unprecedented ease. It is incumbent on all of us to visit these last wildernesses, to spend time on our soil and in our forests and to re-orientate our thinking back in line with those environmentally minded philosophers who acted as balance to an unmitigated will to power. From the forests and the fields we will come to understand that the restoration of sanity and hope to the modern world will require spiritual and metaphysical solutions, not economic or technical ones. To save the planet, we must take the Feldweg and plant the seeds of a new beginning.
We are either on the side that loves life or the one that hates it. Either we say yes to life and all its beauty and adversity, or we succumb to the allures of perpetual infantilization and, drunk on the nectar of our own self-absorption, say no life and slip further down the slope into depravity and nihilism. We cannot rebuild our civilization with other people’s children and, make no mistake, children are indeed the future. In this moment, the question we need to ask ourselves is whether our future is one worth securing, or one worth consigning to the medical wastebin of history.
“The interpretation in the contemporary conditions would be, that full awareness is the foundation of any form of revolting. Firmness and uncompromising ways do not mean that you should go to your workplace or campus and preach the gospel of tradition or god forbid criticise more specific discourses like non-European immigration, SJW Inquisitorial suppression of freedom of speech, Man loathing radical feminism, mass murder orchestrated through state-sponsored approved abortion or LGBT(X) Identity proliferation. It means living an authentic life in the spirit of tradition without even blinking to the onslaught of the anti-traditional forces which are gaining momentum with every moment in time. This is where we place the Way of the Warden as a concept of metaphysical revolt…”
This week’s broadcast Dr Matthew Raphael Johnson clarifies and expounds on some of the points made in previous broadcasts on theology. week. These are some of the most fundamental issues man can face, so dealing with them is a delicate project. Rarely are these basic issues dealt with properly and rationally.
Justinian re-established and reformed Roman power. His great claim in this regard was in his internal policy, especially in his codification of older Roman laws adapted to the realities of the Christian era. Ultimately, after many years, the Corpus Juris Civilis was published, serving as the font for all European law afterwards.
The zenith of the Byzantine Empire was in the middle of the 6th century during the reign of the great Emperor Justinian (527-565). The internal consolidation of the state was his first order of business and from that, his agenda could be launched. Justinian’s focus was to restore the Roman Empire in the west, that had been in a state of anarchy for several centuries. He wanted to strengthen domestic law, and sought to make Byzantium the successor of Rome as it had been meant to be, and in the process, ruling all Europe and a unified Christendom.
The thesis of this lecture-broadcast is that Christ was culturally a Greek. He abandoned the profoundly corrupt Jewish ruling class and broke with their legal provisions. He followed in the footsteps of the prophets in siding with those who would destroy this hegemony, the Romans.
Like everything, the level of disinformation on the War in Vietnam has reached crisis proportions. As the US military are venerated like gods in the US so long as the war is against nationalists, when the war is with communists, suddenly they’re “baby killers.” Yet, name calling isn’t the end. The US lost the war due to deliberate incompetence, ideological myopia and an institutionalized lack of will.
This broadcast is the second part of the initial show two weeks ago and begins where that left off. It’s an analysis of the political ideas of Solzhenitsyn from the point of view of three works, One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich (1963), The Cancer Ward and The First Circle, both published in English in 1968.
