Here, the issue is to dispel the false dichotomy between “faith and reason.” This well worn commonplace of Freshman university seminars has about as much substance as the professors talking about them. In truth, faith and reason are the same, two ideas with a common root seen from two different points of view. Modernity is built on the myth that “faith” is the same as blind credulity while “reason” is scientific observation. This nonsense is laid to rest.
